Alynne MacLean, Ph.D., Founder and President
With a doctorate in bioanalytical chemistry from the University of Kentucky and more than 31 years of experience in the field of immunoassay development, Alynne directs the research for SMI. She also takes on most of the speaking engagements.
Ruth W. Carrigan, M.Ed., Director and Clerk
The Director of Guidance for the Whitman-Hanson Regional School District since 2004, Ruth earned an M.Ed. from Bridgewater State College. She is a licensed school counselor certified by the Massachusetts Department of Education. In addition to her work in public secondary education, Ruth has fifteen years of experience in higher education. She held the positions of Director of Admissions and Director of Continuing Education for Bay State College in Boston. A member of the Massachusetts School Counselors Association, South Shore Guidance Association, and the New England Association for College Admissions Counseling.
Janet Linehan, Treasurer
Janet is a retired Town Clerk of Easton, Massachusetts. She is currently working part-time and volunteering for SMI, Norton Public Library and two positions at the North Easton Covenant Congregational Church. She and her husband Neil enjoy their dogs and traveling.
Mark Ingalls, Director
Mark and his spouse Sheri (Anderson) are longtime admirers of Science with a Mission and supporters of those who work alongside of Alynne in furthering its mission. Mark is a two-time graduate of Boston College with a B.S. in Accounting and M.S. in Finance, and a licensed CPA who currently serves as EVP & Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Dedham Savings. Over the years Mark has served on the boards of the following organizations over the past 25 years - a bank, two churches, a local YMCA, two bank charitable foundations, a private trust company and the Easton Lions Club. He and Sheri live in Easton with their children Eric, Lyla and Tyler. Mark is also a loud and proud longtime season ticket holder of the New England Patriots.
Christine MacTaylor, Ph.D., Director
As a Professor at Salem State University in the Department of Chemistry and Physics, Christine was instrumental in establishing the collaboration between SSU and SMI. Undergraduates at SSU were able to perform research in the field of immunoassays through this collaboration.
James Rose, Director
Jim and his wife have been privileged to support Science with a Mission for many years. Jim graduated in 1979 with a double marketing major in Retail Management and Sales from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio. The first half of his professional career was in retail management; the second half of his career has been in software sales/account management. Jim is honored to serve on the SMI Board. He is confident God will use him to help the organization continue their mission of providing diagnostics to the developing world.
Frank MacLean, Esq., Corporate Counsel
Frank volunteers his time and knowledge with all legal matters. He was instrumental in the incorporation of SMI. He holds a Juris Doctor from Boston University.
Nick Zelinski, Web Sponsor
Nick has extensive background in all areas of computer technology, small engine and automotive technology. Graduated from Clark University and is certified in Client/Server and Web Development Technologies. Nick developed the original Science with a Mission, Inc. website and currently underwrites the ongoing costs associated with web hosting. He is an active member of Covenant Congregational Church in N. Easton MA.
Jean Atwater-Williams, Webmaster
Jean owns and operates BizTech Associates, a technology firm specializing in helping small businesses and nonprofits utilize computer, Internet and telecommunications technology. Jean has held office and served on numerous boards and committees for a wide variety of professional, civic and arts organizations.
