The dream began 20 years ago as Alynne was graduating from college.  She had a passion for chemistry and a strong desire to help those in developing countries.  As she searched for a university for graduate studies, she learned about a technology called enzyme immunoassays (EIA) that are:

bullet Quick, easy, and sensitive
bulletAble to detect infantile gastroenteritis, a leading cause of infant deaths in underdeveloped countries
bulletRapid and rugged tests that can be performed on site
Alynne saw this technology as the way to use her chemistry skills to help people in developing countries, so she specialized in EIAs.

In 2001, after years of developing EIAs for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, Alynne founded Science with a Mission, Inc.  The dream has spread to include Directors, Officers, volunteers, prayer partners and financial partners.
