Alynne MacLean, Ph.D., Founder and President

With a doctorate in bioanalytical chemistry from the University of Kentucky and almost 20 years of experience in the field of immunoassay development, Alynne directs the research for SMI.  She also takes on most of the speaking engagements. 
 

Ruth W. Carrigan, M.Ed., Director and Clerk

The Director of Guidance for the Whitman-Hanson Regional School District since 2004, Ruth earned an M.Ed. from Bridgewater State College. She is a licensed school counselor certified by the Massachusetts Department of Education. In addition to her work in public secondary education, Ruth has fifteen years of experience in higher education. She held the positions of Director of Admissions and Director of Continuing Education for Bay State College in Boston. A member of the Massachusetts School Counselors Association, South Shore Guidance Association, and the New England Association for College Admissions Counseling, Ruth is also an active member of the Community Covenant Church in East Bridgewater, MA.
 

Janet Linehan, Treasurer

Janet is a retired Town Clerk of Easton, Massachusetts.  She is currently working part-time and volunteering for SMI, Norton Public Library and two positions at the North Easton Covenant Congregational Church.  She and her husband Neil enjoy their dogs and traveling.

Ted Ek, Director

Katie Bolinder Sandford, Director

Katie holds a B.A. in Social Work from Gordon College and a M.A. in Community Development from North Park University. Katie has been on the staff of New Community Covenant Church in Chicago for the past five years, where she was actively involved in local affordable housing and land use
issues. She founded and directed New Community's Warming Center, a drop in day ministry for people who are homeless and underserved in Chicago's Logan Square. Katie now attends Community Covenant Church in East Bridgewater.
 

Donna Halleran, Director

Donna holds a Masters of Social Work from Salem State College, and is a licensed independent clinical social worker. She was a diesel mechanic in the US Coast Guard for 10 years before continuing her social work career.  She has worked as a Social Worker for the Blind for the past 19 years. Donna is an active leadership member at the Community Covenant Church in East Bridgewater.

Frank MacLean, Esq., Corporate Counsel

Frank volunteers his time and knowledge with all legal matters.  He was instrumental in the incorporation of SMI. He holds a Juris Doctor from Boston University.
 

Neil Doherty, C.P.A.

Neil is a certified public accountant for Robert, Finnegan & Lynah, PC in Boston .  He prepares our annual reports and tax returns.

Nick Zelinski, Webmaster

Nick has extensive background in law enforcement, computer programming, network security as well as a subcontractor for the Department of Homeland Security for Emergency Preparedness Metro Boston.

He graduated from Clark University and is certified in Client/Server and Web Development Technologies. He currently maintains Science with a Mission, Inc. website and various support within Science with a Mission.
